Nash County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of 2000, the population was 87,420. Its county seat is Nashville.
History
The county was formed in 1777. It was named for Brigadier General Francis Nash, who had been mortally wounded that year at the Battle of Germantown.
